Re: The Forex Autopilot System
Hi Alan & Everyone,
I'm new to the forum, but have been reading this thread with interest. I purchased Forex Autopilot last month (15 Oct) and within a day I had made back the money that the system cost me. So as far as I'm concerned anything else it makes/has made is pure profit.
Since then I have run it on eur/usd mainly, but also tried it on the gbp/usd, both of which have been really profitable and I am really pleased with the system.
As the system closes any open trades at the beginning of each month, if you stop and start the system within the month it will, of course, pick up different trades and can be more/less profitable than setting it running on the 1st and letting it go.
I also did a lot of backtesting and printing of reports back to 1st January 2004 to see if you could reduce the amount of drawdown at the end of each month. I noticed that, up until last month when the volatility increased dramatically, that the optimum time of the month to switch off Autopilot was around the 10th. In doing this you would let any trade open run and complete, but it wouldn't then take on any new trades.
However, having said that, Autopilot really appears to enjoy the increased volatility in the market, so this theory may be better employed when things have calmed down a bit. At the moment I'm just letting it run and seeing what happens. This is on a live mini account with Interbank.
Just out of interest, I've had an email from Marus regarding FAP Turbo. Has anyone else received this?
