I'm very much hoping they would give me some breathing room to weather future drawdowns but we shall see what the forex muses have in store for my Sentiment Fund.
Notice I'm still in my account

If this year they achieve the same 60% profit as they did last year I'd be a happy camper.
And that's why I'm still in, too

I am getting the impression, though, that their automated trading system doesn't handle a "down" market very well. They've only backtested the Aggressive fund to 2003. Depending on which currencies we're talking about, 2003-2007 could be considered an "up" market. One would think with all of the volatility recently, though, that they could have made some decent trades.

Just a novice thinking out loud again....

Hmm..I don't think that the trading system employed was designed for a choppy market (volatile). From my understanding, it is more of a trend following system - hence the name "Sentiment" - ie market sentiment. When there is no general trend I've noticed the system just doesn't work.

So hopefully some big trend will reassert itself and we can ride it till the end.

Hmm..yeah milen you're right. My test account is now at 834. I'm not that worried though as so far FXCM's Sentiment Fund has been pretty good at recovering from drawdowns (albeit not 100%).

I would be so happy if I were to see some consecutive winning months. You know, at least that would give me a "head start."
