Hi everyone. Just wanted to let you all Canadians know that I found a bank which offers one of the highest interest rates available anywhere in Canada. It is called ICICI Bank Canada. This is the Canadian branch of one of the biggest banks in India.

Currently they offer 4.25% on CAD and USD accounts

If any of you find some other bank/financial institution that offers better rates I would really appreciate it if you either let me and everyone else know by posting in the "Savings Accounts" board.

Update: They lowered their interest rates.

As of Today (March 27,08) the interests rates are set at:

3.60% on C$ HiSAVE Savings Account
2.50% on US$ HiSAVE Savings Account

Well, yeah, no dout there are plenty of US banks that offer higher interest rate on USD accounts, but this tread is dedicated to a Canadian bank. And as far as I know this Canadian bank offers the highest interest rate for Canadian who wish to save in USD.
